After lots of work I’m proud to finally announce that the first evaluation SDK for our core technology is now available!
Check out www.molecular-matters.com for more information on the core library. Further SDKs will follow during the next few months.
Are you guys gonna make a networking library. Like enet?
Hi Joseph,
Apologies for the late reply.
It’s not planned in the near future, but could be a long-term goal. We’re working on getting the announced libraries finished first, and then porting to consoles is the highest priority.
Do you have any plans of mobile platform support? Your code is excellent and utilizes very creative solutions to common problems from what I’ve seen in the eval. My team is looking to target mobile platforms as well as PC and possibly osx with a MMORPG planned for 2014-2015 release. We haven’t chosen an engine yet, but the Molecule Engine looks like it might be a good choice for us. Keep up the great work.
Hi Zack,
Thanks for the kind feedback, we’re glad you are satisfied with the SDK!
The next steps for us are to release further SDKs and provide console support. We will probably look into mobile support later, but that’s a longer-term goal.
There’s always the option of porting the engine yourself – it’s allowed by the license agreement, and you get the full source code with the licensed SDK. Contact me via e-mail in case you’re interested!
Is Core SDK not available anymore?
Unfortunately not, at least not at the moment. I have other plans regarding the engine, but nothing official yet.
